Executive Administrator

Born on the East Coast and raised in Sonoma County, Crista grew up surrounded by the beauty of the wine country. The fascination with all things related to wine started young, nurtured by her mother’s strong passion for wine and being surrounded by world class vineyards.

Upon completing her education in Rohnert Park, Crista left
Sonoma State University to pursue a career in Real Estate Appraising for Washington Mutual Bank and various other brokers. After a decade spent in that career Crista yearned for a change and a job that she felt passionate about.  She decided to pursue her passion for wine and the wine industry.
Crista obtained her first wine industry job at Negociants USA in Napa in 2007. She built up her experience and knowledge while handling sales and marketing for imported Australian and New Zealand wines. With a diverse portfolio of large to boutique sized brands, she was able to learn all aspects of the wine import and export business.
In 2011, Crista accepted a position managing the Marketing department at
Schug Carneros Estate Winery located in Sonoma. Working closely with the owner at a small family-owned winery, Crista has firsthand knowledge of the winery business. It was in this position that Crista strengthened her marketing and PR skills while gaining first hand knowledge of the winemaking process.

In 2015 Crista was elected to the Board of Directors of the non profit Carneros Wine Alliance. Serving as Board Chair, Vice Chair and currently Secretary has been a wonderful way to get involved in promoting the region while creating strong networks in the local wine industry.
After a short time consulting for wine companies, Crista accepted a position as the Executive Administrator at Chai Consulting based in San Francisco. To add to her breadth of wine knowledge Crista is pursuing her WSET Level 3 certificate. Crista enjoys living in Sonoma with her husband and son. In her free time you’ll find her laying poolside with Champagne in her glass and a pug in her lap.
